Deposits are required for ALL appointments, unless stated otherwise by your artist. No deposit = no appointment. If you've scheduled an appointment but have not sent your deposit and confirmed with the artist, you do not have a valid appointment. Please make sure your artist sends you an appointment confirmation.
Deposits will be lost in these cases:
Client does not come to appointment , and does not give a notice. This is considered a no-show and artists reserve the rights refuse future services to said client. All deposits and fees are forfeit with no future negotiations.
Client wants to reschedule appointment but does not inform artist at least 48 hours prior to their scheduled appointment date.
*Some exceptions apply in cases of positive COVID test, illness, emergencies, etc. Please contact your artist if you need to reschedule last-minute and accommodations may be made by case-by-case circumstances.
Client changes entire tattoo design or request without informing the artist at least 48 hours prior to their scheduled appointment date. For bigger pieces, please give at least 1 week notice for any major changes. If you're unsure, please contact your artist. Artists reserve the right to void any deposits for design or request changes if designs have already been started or drawn out, and may request another deposit to start another design.
*This policy only applies if you want to change what you're getting entirely. As every appointment is set with enough time in mind to complete each client's specified tattoo, your appointment may be rescheduled for cases where clients request to change their entire tattoo or design if there is not enough time to complete the tattoo with the changes.
Client arrives late, after 30-minute grace period without notice and approval of the artist.
Deposits may be used as credit towards any future tattoo appointments scheduled if cancellations are made at least 48 hours prior to scheduled appointment date. Deposits made are only valid to be used for the original artist your appointment was set with.
Artists reserve the right to cancel any appointments and void deposits in cases where the client is being uncooperative, disrespectful or unreasonable. The Cat Scratch Tattoo will review these circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
All deposits and services from The Cat Scratch Tattoo are nonrefundable.
Under California Law, no individuals under 18 will be allowed to use our services, regardless of parental or guardian consent. Please bring a valid ID, Driver's License or Passport to confirm your age.
Artists reserve the right to decline any tattoo or idea if the idea/design does not match with their specialties.
Please reschedule if you have any symptoms of illness or if you are feeling sick. If you suspect you have may have COVID-19, or have been in contact with anyone who tested positive for COVID-19, please reach out with your artist to reschedule. Artists reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your appointment if they suspect you may be ill, or you arrive to the studio ill.
Guests are allowed, however please limit your guest count to a maximum of 2 guests (3 people, including yourself). If you bring extra guests, we may not be able to accommodate seating.
Please do not copy work or steal designs made for you by any artists of the studio. If an artist makes a custom design for you, even if you cancel or paid a deposit, you may NOT use the design for any other purposes or bring the design to another artist to get tattood, even other artists within the same studio, unless approved by the artist. Violating this term will result in a full ban from using our services or entering our studio.
To prevent violation of the prior term, artists reserve the right to privacy of their designs until the designated appointment day. This means that artists may opt not to show you your design until the appointment date to protect themselves against design-theft. Any changes or redraws can be done on the appointment day.
Please communicate with your artist. If you have any problems with your appointment or tattoo, do not hesitate to reach out to us. All our terms can be disputed and settled, and will be reviewed by The Cat Scratch Tattoo on a case-by-case basis.
